This longitudinal study on recommended children's books translated into English and published in the United States between 1990-2003 allowed researchers to identify trends translations based language, genre subject. The most frequent language of translation was German, followed by French Swedish. Animal Personification popular genre, Realistic Fiction Information books. A majority were picture book format, primarily from genre. Popular subject headings included Animals (specific)-Fiction, Fairy Tales/Folklore, Family Relationships-Fiction Friendship-Fiction, much same as States.
